How long does your hair have to be to get extensions (or a weave)?

My old stylist ruined my hair and around my hairline, there is about 2 inches of hair..some parts longer than other. So how long will I have to wait to get extensions or a weave? and which would you recommend?

all you need is an inch...any less and the stylist may still be able to do your hair but there will be alot of tension which causes hair to break. i would suggest either braids (with someone who does not braid too tightly) or sew in tracks (the hair to grow)

Your hair dosent have to be a certain link depends what style you are getting!

If you go to a really really good salon you can get a sew-in now. You can get a "quick-weave" even with a bald head because they jel your actual hair down and glue tracks to a hair net.

I would recommend you doing a sew-in if possible because it is the least damaging to your hair.

your hair doesn't have to be a specific length. think britney spears after she shaved her head. it was only a few weeks, maybe a month at most before she got extensions. it really depends how you get them put in. but as long as there's even a tiny bit of hair to support the extensions, it can be super short.

i would recommend fusion extensions with kerotin bonds. as long as you get them put in right and take them out after a month or two (no longer than that though), your hair shouldn't have any damage to it at all.

that length is OK, just when you find a new hairstylist, explain what your old stylist did so she knows what she is dealing with. Try using a super grow hair grease asap, if you can stand the coconut smell. Walgreen's %26amp; beauty supply stores carry a couple brands. And next time talk to your hair dresser often about your hair especially when you have concerns or when u see something doesn't look right.
