Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

I think it depends on your type of hair. If you hair is fine and easily breaks if the braids are too tight you might get those bumps. It is better than glued in however when you take the braids out often times your hair will be a little matted and that's not good. Also to me it's hard to get to the braids to wash your real hair. I use a spray in shampoo.

Just go to someone who has done a lot of them. Make sure they leave out enough hair to cover the braids if you leave hair out at the top and in the front.

I hope this helps!!!

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

Short Answer: No, but . . .

A weave can be a protective style (less manipulation of your own hair) which provides the oppty for your hair to maintain it's growth. Of course, some weave installations are more damaging than wearing your hair down, so you must be careful with the method you choose.

For hair growth, I would avoid anything that starts with a glue. If you choose cornrows, use light pressure and coated string to attach. Finally, keep your scalp clean with diluted shampoos and leave in conditioner. I would avoid keeping in any style for longer than 6-8 weeks, as you should really clean your scalp/hair and deep condition.

Good Luck.
