I like to know about weaving my hair ?what is the right way for me to add weave hair to my hair?

there are so many lady wear are add weave to their hair ,and it really look like they hair. How is it done?

I like to know about weaving my hair ?what is the right way for me to add weave hair to my hair?

Their are many ways to weave the hair here are a few ways. This one is called a sewed in weave, your hair is braided in cornrows and then the weave is applied to your braid this is the one that is the best because you can protect it from all the harsh ways that we do our hair. If it is a closed weave then you can have any color that you want with out your hair being colored. The next one is called a glue weave and the glue is made out of a melted tire and that is why it is not safe to do. You part your hair going across and the glue on the weave then apply the weave to your scalp. when it time to take your weave out it will be hard and their could be some hair loss. The next one is called a full glue weave and you apply a plastic cap around your hair to protect it then you apply a stocking cap on the top of that then you put glue on the weave and just keep going until it is closed. But most people don't put plastic to cover your hair. They use a paper towel then all the glue goes to your hair and when it is time to take it off your hair will come out for sure so if I was you I would choose option number one. I hope that I have helped you good luck with your new weave.

I like to know about weaving my hair ?what is the right way for me to add weave hair to my hair?

The hair can either be sewn in or glued in. When it is sewn in, it lasts much longer, but it's all about preference.

Weave hair?

What is the proper way to cut weave hair?

Weave hair?

Yaki Weave problem!!! need help!!(anyone know how to make straight hair wavy)?

i jus put my weave in but then when i tryed scrunching my hair this morning only my natural hair got wavy but the weave hair stayed straight and wouldnt wave at all! anyone know how i can get the weave hair to look wavy (its human hair but yaki is really straight hair)...dont tell me to scrunch it, it didnt work

Yaki Weave problem!!! need help!!(anyone know how to make straight hair wavy)?

seems like you should hav egotten the wet and wavy hair instead if you were looking for a scrunched wave look..but what i'd suggest trying is the night before section out the yaki track by track and make medium sized plaits adding a little spritz as you braid..when you get up wave the rest of your real hair..and loose out the plaits in the yaki hair and try to blend..it might not be 100 percent perfect but i will look way better than having straight and wavy hair contrasting. good luck!

Yaki Weave problem!!! need help!!(anyone know how to make straight hair wavy)?

try using a diffuser, wash your hair, and when you dry it use it and it should put some wave into your hair if its really straight.

Should I stop wearing weave (hair extension?)?

ok so I use to wear my own hair out a few years back (I鈥檓 21 btw) it was pretty long to my back and full but I got bored so I started wearing braids eventually becoming completely addicted to weave on鈥︹€nd by weave I mean long jet black hair extensions鈥︹€︹€ want to now stop wearing it and get a hair cut but there are two problems

1.My hair looks soooooooooo good long and it looks completely natural when I have the extensions in; everyone thinks it鈥檚 my hair.

2.I have baby cheeks, so I鈥檓 not sure how my hair would look short鈥 was hoping to lose about 15 pounds by the summer and then getting it cut. But right now I鈥檓 about 5鈥? 130....and pretty athletic so it鈥檚 hard to get down to 115.

But something has to be done my real hair is to top of my back but its sooooooooo damaged. The reason I really want to stop also is I鈥檝e just been feeling a lot of judgment from people, talking about me and saying the only reason I鈥檓 guys are attracted to me is because I have long hair extensions鈥︹€?.

What should I do鈥︹€?should I just go for it and rock the cut now instead of waiting鈥?.I know this sounds shallow but I鈥檓 use to turning heads鈥鈥檓 afraid I might not turn any without it.

p.s please tell me you honest opinion in a civilized manner鈥ou don鈥檛 have to answer the question if you are going to be rude about it

Should I stop wearing weave (hair extension?)?

I think you should just do as you please.I don't think just hair can attract a man. It could also be your confidence that added to it.I myself used to have plaited/braid extensions, temporally for a year, but this was two years ago and yes I turned many heads. My hair now just touches my shoulders and I still get glances,I still feel comfortable with my hair as it is.The main thing is, if your confident about yourself, this will shine through no matter what hair style you have.

Should I stop wearing weave (hair extension?)?

if you want to cut your hair i think you should do it for yourself and not because you want to prove something to someone. you should cut it to a length that will look nice on you....with good care your hair will grow back. Many women look nice with short hairstyles.

Should I stop wearing weave (hair extension?)?

Screw what other people say if u like wearing extensions then do it, 4get the haters.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

I have had hair weaves in the past, put i want something that looks real like the stars.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

there is no way that you can go to a salon and pay $100 to get the type of weave that you are looking for. The weave that looks the most natural would be achieved by getting fusion which can cost upwards of $600. Another popular thing that celebrities do is wear clip-in extensions which are great because it isn't permanent so you can have short hair one minute and long hair the next and vice versa. I found a great one for a low price but the hair quality is awesome @ www.rapunzel-rapunzel.com/

Hope this helps!

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

At a salon for about 100 dollars depending on where you live and the length of your hair.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

Yea I'd say around $100 bucks http://digital-tech.mypunbb.com/index.ph...

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

Where I live only Caribbean hair-dressers will do it for you as their staff know what they are doing. Search around you may get lucky.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

These hair weaves that the stars have are very expensive. As a man, I tend to like women who have long hair, but I also like to be able to run my fingers through it. Good luck with your quest.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

u could go 2 the Korean place cuz they have almost all colors that u might B looking 4. That is if u have any of those stores around N yur area.

Where can i get a hair weave like the stars?

Hair fusion is what most celebrities get. They are attached by using glue. If you don't want to pay the big bucks, get a starter kit with an instruction video on ebay. My friend and I did our hair this way.

How do I wash my hair with a weave still sewed on?

The same way you would wash your normal hair. You will want to put conditioner in it and comb it out before drying it. do not put it on your hair just the ends of the weave. When you are done I would recommend sitting under the dryer until almost dry and then lightly blow drying the rest, then you can flat iron or style as normal. Good luck!!!

How do I wash my hair with a weave still sewed on?

Wah thoroughly, and then use a conditioner. I would say wash it twice then use leave in conditioner. Then sit under a dryer, or let it air dry. Then use a flat iron to straighten the your hair / weave.

How do I wash my hair with a weave still sewed on?

One thing I will add is to wash it in the shower or reclined in a shampoo bowl. Do not turn your hair upside down in a kitchen sink - you will have a huge matted mess when you are done and it will cause too much stress on the hair that the weave is sewed on to.

Can you wash your hair with bonded (glued-in) weave in it?

A couple of days ago, I had tracks glued in to my hair. I really would like to wash my hair without having to take the tracks out. Is there a special way to wash hair without loosening the tracks?

Can you wash your hair with bonded (glued-in) weave in it?

You can find good hair weaving information at below blog. It will definitely help you. Have a look at it.

How to weave extention hair?

how do i weave extention hair not by glueing but by sowing to a full head

How to weave extention hair?

I wouldnt suggest doing it by yourself. But you can go online and check different sites to see how exactly to do it. From what I know you cane/corn row the hair first (preferable going round in a circle till it gets in the middle) and show the hair onto the rows. You would have to get a special need for it, its long and curved. You would also need to get a thread, its much thicker than normal sowing thread for clothes.

But if you can get someone else to do it, that would be best, because you dont want it to look too thick, you want it to look just right. Go to someone who knows what they doing.

ALl the best

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

when i waz younger i had long thin hair and i waz getting perms it waz down to my sholders, and my mom thoght if i get braids in weave my hair would grow even longer, now that i'm 14yrds old it's below my ears and now she wants me to start gettin perms cause it save money. and havin long hair in H.S iz the new thing now and if u have short hair kidz gonna talk and i don't like my hair being short. and if u have thin hair when u get a perm it will look like u don't have much hair than kidz will try to be funny and call a gurl baid headed.

So tell me what yall thing, am I right?

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

Get your hair braided. See if your mother can find someone around the way that can braid hair for cheap. Once you get your hair braided it can last for about 2-3 months. You should see growth by time you take out your braids. Then get your hair braided again. This is what I do for some of my clients who wants to grow out their hair. After about a year trust me you would have some good growth.

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

i thik you should just let it grow on its own, because its free, and better for your hair

Are you looking for a Hair Weaving Stylist?

Yesterday, I posted a question on whether I should try this stylist in Brooklyn, I went today to get a weave and ladies let me tell you, I have no regrets whatsoever. When I went she was just finishing up a lady who also got a weave and her hair was very nice, when I was finished, my hair looked so real and the way she bumped it and cut it, the hair fell along my face and I was just swinging my hair all over the place cause she did such a good transformation on me.Im going to take a picture tonight and if anyone wantt to see my hair email me and I'll send it too you, I honestly think this is my best weave ever, when I was living in Atlanta, my old stylist was good, but I love this new do. Anyway if you are looking for someone to do your weave, her name is Celena I found her on this website: http://myspace.com/fiercestyling or http://1bashmentqueen.tripod.com/fabulou... you can also pay through the second site and her # is 646-358-9784. Hello Celena:

Quit giving yourself publicity.

Thank you.

Are you looking for a Hair Weaving Stylist?

I have been looking for somebody in my area, but I am curious to see what your hair looks like.

My real hair color doesn't blend with my weave. HELP!?

My hair color is a 2 but I bought the weave in a 1. I got the sew-in yesterday with part of the top left out so i could part it in the middle or to the side. Compared to the weave, my hair left out looks really brown. It only looked darker when the stylist put gel in it. Is there any product other than dye that I can use to temporarily make my real hair jet black like the weave? I'm concerned about using a rinse because I heard you shouldn't wash Outre Remy Velvelt hair yourself.

My real hair color doesn't blend with my weave. HELP!?

nope you can go buy half of a track thats your color and glue it in the front and yes you can wash the hair its not going to damage it

Can you get a relaxer with weave in you hair?

Please don't do that.....if you're just trying to straighten the hair in places that covers your weave.....trying flat ironing it with a ceramic flat iron..not a regular one..but make sure you use some type of oil...or I use silk elements flat iron oil spray to straighten the front of my hair when I have a weave....if it's the middle of your hair that you're worrying about....treat you new growth with products that people use that are natural....such an essential oil..coconut oil...or coco butter or shea butter hair dresses...I use these on the scalp where my new growth is..and keep my permed hair..that still in the cornrows moisturized with African Royal Braid spray it's 3 bucks at Sally's and contains a ton of growth oils in it.........I'm using that right now...along with coconut, lavendar, tea tree, and aloe vera oil...Please..just get a different flat iron...and straighten those areas...no perming while your hair is braided....

Can you get a relaxer with weave in you hair?

I would not try that.

Unless you don't mind being bald if it doesn't work.

Can you get a relaxer with weave in you hair?

No because when you wash the relaxer out the weave will trap some of the relaxer and your will fall out.

Rash from hair weave possible?

I just got a weave done last week. I bought natural human hair for a sew-in weave that was top quality and the whole process was VERY expensive for me. (close to 500$) But...I'm wondering if it's possible that I'm allergic to it. I washed my hair once with new shampoo the day before I got it done, but since then it's been a nightmare. My hair is itchy all the time, full of giant red patches that burn and ooze...what do I do? Do I try to take the weave out myself and re-use the hair later if it turns out to be the shampoo? I can't believe something I saved up for turned out so badly. Please give me advice! Are some people actually allergic to human hair? :(

Rash from hair weave possible?

when i got a weave for prom, my scalp was basically the same way. it ALWAYS itched. and i did get flaky patches and stuff. they didn't go away until a few weeks after having the weave. it definitely takes ALOT of getting used to, but it really turned out to worth it, so stick with it and good luck!

Rash from hair weave possible?

im not sure, but i think you should not wear the weave anymore

Rash from hair weave possible?

I had a similar experience and have vowed to never get a weave again. In my case the weave was sewn in and the pulling irritated my scalp. At the same time, the hair touching the irritated skin, irritated it more. I tried different shampoos, oils and leave in conditioners. Nothing worked. That crap had to come out. Weaves arent for everyone.

How to bond(glue)in curly weave into straight hair?

You might want to leave it to the professionals.

How to bond(glue)in curly weave into straight hair?

one way is to get a stocking cap and glue the curly hair onto the cap leaving a small amount of hair in the front to cover the tracks.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

I bought the 'real', 'good', long hair that was a little more expensive. When i went to get it weaved in last summer, the woman charged me almost $200 dollars. Did I pay too much? They were giving me a hard time about it bc I am hispanic and the woman said 'hispanic' hair was different. Hence, the price was different. Did I get ripped off? I want to get a weave again this summer - but the price is a downer!

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Yes - sure it is- its much cheap to buy a weaver bird who'll do it for u all the time!

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Way too much.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

You got ripped off.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

'hispanic' hair was different.

Um... that's the first time I ever heard that.

Did you go to other places?

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Depends- if your getting braids then, you paid too much. The good kind should only cost you somewhere in the $100s.

For tracks- I really can't tell. The good kind is pretty expensive.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

to bad you must be a loser.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

honey that is way too much to pay for something that youre gonna end up taking out in the long run....you better find someone who does a good job and dont charge u a fortune...if she would have told me 200 bucks, she would have been without a head to do for the day

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

i dont know about hispanic hair, but daughter gets hers weaved ,and she pays that amount in Houston Tx. so i say to you is check around!!OH YES SHE IS BLACK

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Value is in the eyes of the purchaser

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

what a wast of money u got ripped off

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

If it looks like it was worth 200, then no you didn't. There is nothing wrong with splurging on yourself. It really depends on how good of a job she did.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

That's way too much, Where i'm from the most you willis 150.00 or less and it is the best hair and services!!!

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

oh hell yes that is too much girl i get my weave done for 50 or less and i buy my weave for 45 or less whaaasup

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

It depends how long the hair is ... short hair should be around $150 but long hair $300 isn't too expensive

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

That sounds about right......I use to work in a salon and that's the average for long thicker hair.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

that is the right price for a sew in. It was harder to do your hair because it is slippery and soft. U should try getting it glued in next time. It is quicker and easier. Cheaper too

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

God, yes. That is a rip off!

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

I don't think so? You want the hair to look like it belongs to you, don't you?

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Well it depends on the quality of the hair and the longivity. Most people (especially here in texas) charge way more than that. Hispanic and African hair are very hard to weave. mainly because they dont make enough for our hair. That is a pretty good price and for that it should look good.

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

Stay away from hair weaves, they are not good for your hair. If you want to have healthy hair, leave the weaves, braids and shreds alone. Over time, all that stuff will weaken your hair and eventually make it thin out. i have long hair and don't mess with any of that stuff. There is a girl that i go to church with that does charge $300 - $400 for a weave and i heard that she is good...

Is $300 dollars too much to pay to get a hair weave?

It was way too much and yes you did get ripped off.

The hair weave that the girl on ANTM had...?

Where could I get one like that.. she had green eyes, light brown weave. Black girl.. and it was cut with the long bangs.. so hot..

The hair weave that the girl on ANTM had...?

Well anyone who is good at hair weaves could make you look like that really...don't get artificial hair get real hair it will cost you more money but its worth it! Don't get them glued in! ANTM sews in the hair after the head is braided..glued in extensions is a lazy way of putting in extensions...

How much money does it cost to get a hair weave?

the kind where you only put a corn row on the bottom and sew in extentions. [not a whole head of fake hair]

How much money does it cost to get a hair weave?

One layer wont look good, your best bet is go to sallys and see what they have I got 16 inch hair extentions for 35 dollars. You should glue them in and do layers to make it actually look real, Getting it weaved or sewn in hurts like a MOFO!! And it takes a lot of time! If you glue them in, they last for a few weeks and you can always take them out with conditiner if you're worried about the glue saying in your hair you can leave conditioner in your hair for an hour or two and then wash it out and all of the glue will be gone.

How much money does it cost to get a hair weave?

It costs quite a bit. The weave doesnt cost a lot, but to get it sewn in people usually charge a LOT. Just look how to do it online or find someone who knows how to do it. Dont go to a hair dresser!

How long does it take to get a full head weave sowen in your hair?

beacosue im 13 and never had a weave before and i want to know alot about it when i get it done and am i to youngfor a weave

How long does it take to get a full head weave sowen in your hair?

You can find good hair weaving information at below blog. It will definitely help you. Have a look at it.

http://hair-weaving.blogspot.com/

How long does it take to get a full head weave sowen in your hair?

It depends on the thickness of the cainrows and how big you head is lol (no offence, but some girls have big heads), but shortest time i've witnessed a weave being sown in was 20mins, but she was extremely fast. Majority of weaving takes between and 1hr - 2hr 30mins for it to be completed including cainrows and styling afterwards. But i think you are too young for weaves! i don't think anyone under 16 should get it, there's a stigma to it as well. But if you wanna look "grown" go for it.

Hair weaves/extensions?

I'm getting extensions tomorrow at a new place and was wondering if I should get the row-by-row weave or a full set weave?

After wearing my natural hair and letting it grow a decent length, I let someone do the fusion technique on my hair for some added thickness and it broke off badly. So, that's not an option for me anymore. I want someone to braid it and sew the wefts in, but I need it to look as natural as possible. Any suggestions on the best technique??

Also, I bought Remi Velvet hair ($69/pack in NY). Has anyone tried this hair before? Did you like it?

Thanks!

Hair weaves/extensions?

For best results go with a full weave that is sewn in. The hair should be braided in vertical rows (from ear to ear) if you choose a style with a part in it or in a circular pattern if you are going to wear bangs. For a natural look, make sure your own hair is left out around the hairline and the crown. Typically, these braid patterns will allow your weave to last for up to 2 months.

IMPORTANT: be sure your stylist is not braiding your hair too tight as this will cause breakage.

It is also important to maintain your weave by putting it up at night in a wrap style, satin rollers or by putting the hair in a few plaits before you go to bed. NEVER sleep on your weave. Wash it in the shower every 2 weeks with Soft Sheen Carson weave shampoo and conditioner. Regular shampoos tend to "eat" your weave.

Be sure to ask a lot of questions BEFORE your stylist begins.

Good Luck!

Hair weaves/extensions?

Girl, if they do a great job post a picture, they may get some new business.

I'm sure you'll look fantastic!!!

Hair weaves/extensions?

WELL I THINK YOU USED GET A ROW-BY-ROW AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOUR HAIR IT WILL LOOK NICE ON YOU SO JUST CHILL

Hair weaves/extensions?

Have them sewn in but ask they stylist to leave the very top or crown of head out. This will keep it looking natural cause your hair will blend in. If possible, ask her to leave a part out somewhere like the side or middle, with your hair out on the top. Its the same affect of having your tracks glued in row by row and leaving some of your hair out on each row. So just ask for the crown of ur hair out and the rest sewn in.

P.S. Remy hair is real good, and if you got 14 inches or more you got a good price.

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

i am 14 and i want a weave do they damage your real hair at all?

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

It depends on the condition of your natural hair when you get the weave and what type of method used to put the weave in.

If you hair is already in "bad" condition (dry, split ends, thinning, excessive shedding..and so on) getting a weave may not be the smartest idea. You should try to get your hair in the best condition possible before attempting to get a weave such as cutting your hair even to get rid of split ends, deep conditioning and moisturizing prior to getting the weave.

There are different ways to apply the weave, the most common being bonding (with glue) and a sew-in (hair sewn in on top of corn-rowed hair). Weave done with bonding is essentially worse than with the sew-in method because the weft hair is actually glued directly on the scalp or hair depending on the stylist. Sew-in is the better of the two, but if you decide to keep it in for a long period of time, you may not have the opportunity to wash it and if you do, you may develop mold or fungus in you hair for lack of thorough drying.

At age 14, I think you should exhaust all other options for you hair besides getting a weave. 9 times out of 10, it's going to look 'cheap' and 'fake' anyway (we all don't have Beyonce' money). Try getting a new cut or hairstyle. Add some color!! There are many more resources to have cute hair than weaves. (and weaves aren't that cute anyway. Since when have you seen a black person with shiny, black hair down her back?? Really!!)

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

I think 14 is a little too young for weave. But I wear it and I love it. I am 35 and just started wearing weave because the style lasts longer than my natural hair. So far it hasnt damaged my hair Report It

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

over time cause your adding alot of heat to you hair. and if you do the waves make sure you add some oil on your hair so your ends do not come out.

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING YES IT CAM...BUT MOST SALONS WEAVE A COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT..YOUR BEST BET IS TO GO TO SALON THAT SPECIALIZE IN WEAVES AND THEY COULD TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT YOU CAN FORWARD TO.......CUZ YOU HAVE TO THEM REPLACED EVERY SO OFTEN AS YOU REAL HAIR GROWS OUT

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

yes, there can be damage. depending on your hair's strenght, a weave can damage your hair, if it is already weak or fine. Make sure you let a professional look at your hair and they can advise you on what is best for your hair type and condition.

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

Another thing you risk is having people point at you and say "Hey, she has a weave!"

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

dont use the bonding glue. will cause severe hair breakage, have it sewn it. Your so young. You should not wear a weave. Try growing your hairby using Mane 'N Tail products.

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

My opinion is that weaves aren't healthy for ANYONE of color, whether your hair is "healthy" or not...for the simply fact that if you wear the glue or sew-in long enough, sure, you'll hair will be long BUT it'll also be VERY THIN and BRITTLE. Black curly, kinky, wavy, nappy hair needs OXYGEN to grow and be healthy...so my advice to you is to appreciate your natural hair and learn to love it. Treat it with respect and it will grow longer than you could have ever imagined!

Good Luck Sista !

Is there a risk when you get a hair weave for black people?

It all depends. Using glue would not be my first coice at all. It rips out hair. i lost alot of my hair using hair glue. Best thing for you to do is get it sewed in. It may cost a little more but its worth it and it last longer than glued tracks. Also you better make sure the person that does knoes wat there doing.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

i see so many black women wear hair weave. dont they know no they are beautiful without all that.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

I wear my own hair its long and beautiful some women don't like to do there hair so its easy er for them to where a weave.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

Take one step towards my hair weave....and be ready to draw your gun, pardner........

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

I don't wear weave.I have no use for it.Not all black women wear weave.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

Don Imus - is that you?

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

This basically boils down to the woman. I choose to wear weave for 2 reasons. 1) I've always been very hard on my hair, so care is a nightmare and 2)wearing certain weaves actually makes my hair grow.

Different women will wear it just because they like to do so. And there are plenty of women who dont wear weaves (more power to them; I can't do it myself).

And then, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so maybe different women feel more confident when they dont necessarily have to worry about what their hair looks like.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

To have long hair, from my understanding.. and its easier to keep your hair like that than to do it everyday like the other poster said

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

i dont wear hair weave at all cuz i aint like other dumb black chicks using stupid black hair products

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

I don't wear hair weaves. But I used to during high school, because I was "experimenting", so to speak. Red hair, black hair, hi-lites, short hair, etc. That would be too much damage for natural hair, so it was easier, and less expensive to wear weaves.

Also, some women wear hair weaves to aid in hair growth.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

Believe it or not hair weaves help hair growth. I had one for 3 years and I took it out and my hair has dramatically grown. White girls wear weave also.

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

not all black women wear hair weave. im black and i have a very long and thick hair. but some of them wear it to make their hair grow...

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

I guess u r a dude asking this question and I think its sweet that you think that they are pretty without it. Some women wear it because they don't like dealing with their own hair. It make some feel better about themselves.....really.

Some women want to grow their hair or grow color out that they have dyed their hair. During the summer people get them if they go out town..........it easier to manage. If they plan on going swimming a lot during the summer. Many more reasons.

Some wanna cover up bald thinning hair. I like weave because I don;t like to deal with my own hair and I like the look it give me!

Why do black women wear so much hair weave?

I dont know what your ethnicity is, but african americans hair is harder to take care of then stringy, dry white people hair.

Plus they wear weaves because they want to look different, wont have to do as much to there hair, and to keep their hair neat if they dont know how to do there own hair. Personally, I think getting weave is a waste of time and money, but my sister wears weave, I dont and our hair comes to our shoulders and a little over. So I hope that helps, try asking them, I remeber I did that in class and we got in an argument.

How to get waves back in my wet n wavy hair weave pro10 deep wave it won't curl back?

Check the package, its either wet and wavy or its deep wave.

Wet %26amp; wavy can get wet anytime and deep wave depending on the brand can get the curl back once its dry.

Roller set the hair and you'll get the wave pattern back and put some conditioner in it as well..

BTW: Next time use another brand, pro 10 is a horrible brand, try Sensual or Sensationnel

Are weaves recommended for people with naturaly straight hair or do they last more on african americ

im confused.

are hair WEAVES better on african american hair since the cornrow braids can last longer on them. up to how long can a hair weave last on them?

how about people with naturaly straight hair, how much can a weave last on them? and will the weave fall apart more easily since their hair is a different texture

or is their even a difference?

Are weaves recommended for people with naturaly straight hair or do they last more on african american hair???

Besides the fact that ethnic hair ranges from naturally straight -very curly, hair weaves are universal and can be worn by anyone. There are various types of hair weaves. The two least expensive methods are glued in and sewn in. With a glued in weave, bonded glue is placed on hair track and glued onto the scalp. Hair glue remover,hairspray/oil, and conditioner are used to remove this weave. It last up to two weeks. For a sewn in weave, your hair is cornrowed and hair tracks are sewn onto the braided hair. This technique last up to 3 months depending on the individual. At a salon based for people with naturally straight hair these techniques can cost $250- $2000up.In ethnic hair salon the cost is $50 - $200up. The price difference from the two salons are not based on hair texture(they both use same methods) difference is in certification. Ethnic stylist are more experienced at weaving techniques than naturally straight hair stylist. There's a high demand for weaves from individuals with naturally straight hair but there are a few experienced stylist so prices are higher at these salons. Highly recommend asking your stylist if they are experienced in weaving. I also recommended shopping for hair at your local beauty supply store.

Are weaves recommended for people with naturaly straight hair or do they last more on african american hair???

Try using hair extensions.

Are weaves recommended for people with naturaly straight hair or do they last more on african american hair???

i'm mixed.

my dad is black and my mom is white, mexican, and japanese...so i have curly hair and i have never gotten a weave because it sounds lkike they would be uncomfortable.

i don't think a weave would last as long since your hair would fall out of the braid more easily

Are weaves recommended for people with naturaly straight hair or do they last more on african american hair???

weaves will last longer in african american hair but any race can put a weave in but the fact its straight doesnt matter its the texture caucasian hair can go in a weave it can last up too about 2 months ive had a weave in and im european so its pretty reliable if your hair dresser knows what their doing and make sure when buying human hair use the right produces to keep the hair healthy i suggest motions sheen spray and wash it only once a week the less you wash it the longer it will last but u can still wash it

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

As a hairstylist, Yep they certainly do, for all sorts of reasons.

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

well i dont think its really referred to as weave anymore... i hear hair extensions now lol and ive had white friends and seen other white girls wear it

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

Because they like the way it looks on them. there is nothing wrong with that.

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

Yeah, but as previously said.. I don't believe they call it 'weave'. They are hair extensions. A friend of mine who wears extensions was asked one time... "Is that really your hair?" to which she replied, "Yep it sure is! I paid for it, so it's mine!"

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

I know a lot of white girls that get extentions.

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

Oh ask all those white female musicians and actresses. They definitely wear all kinds of fake hair. Just don't do that Bo Derek look with the braids, it's not a cute look for a white girl usually.

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

Yes. I knew one who wanted to get a weave to make her hair longer. So yes, they do.

Do white girls wear weave in their hair?

PLEASE WHITE GIRL stay away from the weave or u will look like britney spears on crack

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

it really depends on a few factors. how experienced is the weaveologist?, how damaged is your hair? how long do you wear your weave before you have it redone? (it should be no longer than 8-10 weeks). do you perm and wear a weave? how well do you take care of your weave? i wear a sew in weave and have been for over a year and my hair has grown. i do not perm or relax my hair while wearing a weave. when i take down i deep condition and let my hair rest for a day or two before rebraiding. also my stylist is very experienced in hair weaving. i have had a friend who let her friend do her weave and it broke her hair off. i also have a friend who wore a weave and her hair broke off because her own hair was unhealthy. try researching at www.blackhairmedia.com. they have a forum. HTH

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

Depending on your hair type,sewn-in weave can help the hair to grow. One reason, you don't fuss with it as much.

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

Girl stop trying sew in weave. That will cause breakage. I recommend you try Beauty 4 Ashes. Its a all natural beauty co. discoverb4a.com Then click on Hair Care. Next A double Portion Hair Gro Products. Finally click on Ethnic Hair.

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

I don't see how it could make your hair grow back. But break off definately.

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

It can do both depending on the quality of your hair. My hair grew soooo much when I whore a sewn in weave. Make sure that whoever does your hair doesn't braid to tight that it makes your hair snap and break. Over all I know that sewn in weaves is a good way to take a break from all the heat %26amp; daily damage to your hair.

Can a sew in weave make your hair grow or break off??

a sew in weave will make your hair grow as long as you keep your edges moisturized.

If you have braided weave in your hair, can you wash it?

Yes. Treat it like it is your own. If the hair is synthetic follow the instruction on the package. The washing instructions may be specific.

If you have braided weave in your hair, can you wash it?

If you have braided weave in your hair, can you wash it?

that type of weave is sewn in. you start by braiding your hair really tight to your head in a swirl . then take the weave and sew it into your braids just like you would sew anything else. make sure you tie it off real good or it will come loose.

Hey lady, I'd HIGHLY suggest you go to blackhairmedia.com and go to the discussion board. Those ladies are THE authority on weaves. You won't get a good answer from mainstream hairdressers here.

Are you doing the weave yourself? A good stylist should know how to close the weave without a closure. I'm wearing a full weave without buying a closure and none of my hair is out.

I'm doing a full head weave with curly hair....I dont want any of my hair out..how do I cover the closure?

How are you putting the hair in? Are you gluing it to a cap? Gluing it to scalp? Sewing it in?

As for gluing to a cap, I've no clue...I just know it is glued in a whorl pattern (like men have...that whorl in the back of their head..the hair is glued in AROUND the cap instead of side to side).

If you're gluing or sewing in the extensions, you will have to leave some of your hair out, but you style that tiny bit of hair to match the weave.

I'm doing a full head weave with curly hair....I dont want any of my hair out..how do I cover the closure?

Is it possible to give the silky straight hair weave that i have an African American texture(YAKI)?

I keep reading that the hair is texturized to give the appearance of african american hair can. can I do this to the hair that i have now? if so how? are there any links that you may be able to share to show the process?

Is it possible to give the silky straight hair weave that i have an African American texture(YAKI)?

You can find good hair weaving information at below blog. It will definitely help you. Have a look at it.

http://hair-weaving.blogspot.com/

Is it possible to give the silky straight hair weave that i have an African American texture(YAKI)?

I don't think that there is anyway to make silky weave turn yaki. They do that in the factory somewhere. I wouldn't worry about it right now. Just wait until you take that weave out. Then make sure the next one you get is Yaki. I just put some in and my real relaxed hair is out in the front and it matches pretty well.

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

I think it depends on your type of hair. If you hair is fine and easily breaks if the braids are too tight you might get those bumps. It is better than glued in however when you take the braids out often times your hair will be a little matted and that's not good. Also to me it's hard to get to the braids to wash your real hair. I use a spray in shampoo.

Just go to someone who has done a lot of them. Make sure they leave out enough hair to cover the braids if you leave hair out at the top and in the front.

I hope this helps!!!

:-))

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

yes because your hair will be braided underneath and un like the glue in it won't pull your hair or just go over your hair it will grow

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

no.

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

Yes its prove en thatt it does help your hair grow faster with it in as opposed to with it out.

Can sewn in weave help your hair to grow?

Short Answer: No, but . . .

A weave can be a protective style (less manipulation of your own hair) which provides the oppty for your hair to maintain it's growth. Of course, some weave installations are more damaging than wearing your hair down, so you must be careful with the method you choose.

For hair growth, I would avoid anything that starts with a glue. If you choose cornrows, use light pressure and coated string to attach. Finally, keep your scalp clean with diluted shampoos and leave in conditioner. I would avoid keeping in any style for longer than 6-8 weeks, as you should really clean your scalp/hair and deep condition.

Good Luck.

HOW DO YOU PUT iN WEAVE WiTH THE BLACK HAiR GLUE?

iTS DA KiND OF WEAVE DAT COMES iN A ROW YOU KNOE

HOW DO YOU PUT iN WEAVE WiTH THE BLACK HAiR GLUE?

You part sections of your hair straight across, then you measure how much weave you need to go across. Never put the exact length across, make it a little shorter or else you can see the tracks... then put a small line of black glue across the track, make sure to not get it on the weave and lay this across the very top of your hair. Not on your scalp. You should have a blowdryer handy so that you can put it over the track to make sure the glue is dry and bonds to your hair..then part another section and start over.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Pic:

http://www.myindianhair.com/i/1a1a1a1a1a...

http://www.myindianhair.com/i/hair/ciara...

http://www.agapecollection.com/blk%20and...

Why or why not?

Again: this is a question post, not an opinion.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

in a way yes it is because you are somewhat decieving other people of what your "real" hair looks like. i also have to say no because people like to change their look from time to time and doing all that to your hair can cause it to break or be severly damaged. also some people who wear weaves they might have a health problem ( cancer patient, ..etc) and want to go around and be normal for a change instead of explainig it to people.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Of course not, how is it lying to yourself?

I love how it looks.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

I think it's a hairstyle, and its wearer's motives are not my business.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

No, its just a hairstyle.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

no. and knowing that you already know that you are wearing weave, you cant be lieing to yourself.

weave just makes your hair cooler to me

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

I think we do things as a society that make us "blend in" or "stick out" as we see fit. Makeup, hairstyles, curlers, straighteners, Spanx, hair dye, etc.. are all a form of deception, if you care to look at it that way. Who cares? If it makes you feel beautiful I say "Do it!" Life is too short to move through it uncomfortable in your own appearance and if any of the above listed things make you feel better - go for it!!!

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Hair weaves are hot. We all want to experiment and look whoever we want. Hair weaves I say don't necessarily cause a woman to "lie" bout her race? More so, it's b/c she loves herself enough to go thru that.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Hair weaves like ribbons bows Mohawks spikes piercings etc are nothing more than fashion accessories. The whole point is to enhance your appearance, try out an interesting new style with out over processing or damaging the hair. Hair weaves are just that a hairstyle or accessory not a creed, motto, religious statement, hair doesn't tell lies. Don't take things out of context you will make life limited for yourself. The whole world understands weaves and extensions are regularly worn by people of certain cultures and are not confused or mislead by it at all. Look up the worlds history of wearing wigs and hair pieces.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

those women on those pictures should wear their hair natural once in a while. Everytime i see beyonce on tv or whatever she has a blonde weave. It's a shame since i know many beautiful black women with natural hair.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

You do realize that white women wear hair weave as well. Oh wait! They call it hair extensions so that makes it different and better right?

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Your thinking to deeply into this. It's just a hair style.

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

no.its just another different thing to do with your hair

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

no more than wearing makeup...

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

please were is jessica simpson and paris hilton because those ********* e s were weaves too. no i dont think its lying because everyone knows its a weave. beyonce looks pretty in that picture !!!

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Well, in the past. I had a really hard time with my hair. Im caucasian but my hair was like african american hair, and so people made fun of me and stuff. Now its better, because chemicals were put in it, so whatever works for you is fine. It has nothing to do with your character...

I love Beyonce and Ciara by the way---just NOT Mariah carey...long story ;-)

Do you think that wearing HAIR WEAVE most of the time is a form of lying to yourself and others?

Don't hate cause you can't participate they cost about $1,500 it's a form of having fun and feeling pretty.

Can a weave make your hair look thicker?

Yes. You want to make sure that it is done correctly so it doesn't shoe or damage your hair. There are a couple different methods so you may want to contact a beautician or do some research on what will work best for you.

Can a weave make your hair look thicker?

Yes

Can a weave make your hair look thicker?

I got a sew in weave with Wave hair. real hair is out in front How do I make my natural hair blend w

Use gel or setting lotion and braid your own hair that will create the same type of wave that is in the weave.

HTH

I use to put weave in my hair and now my real hair is very thin, what can I use to make my hair thic

No relaxer. Use Castor Oil buy it from your local drug store. Sulphur 8 mixed with Miconzole nitrate found in Neopsrin AF and women cream and jock itch cream...yes it promotes hair growth.

No tight braids. Try Surge Plus 14. Massage your scalp.

No brushing less combing.. Wearing protective styles..bantu, two strands twists, phony ponytail (and cover your real pony tail with a plastic cap after using a mositurizer and sealing with an oil such olive, castor, jojoba, tea tree. etc) You can mix products together..just find out what your like.

the less handling you do with your hair the longer it will grow.

No relaxer, no tight braids, no heat, let it air dry.

Here are some moisturizers. Wave Nouveau Mositurizing Finish Lotion, Carefree Gold, S Curl, BB Moisturizer. then use an oil to seal and scrunch..you will have a cute style and just be creative.

Try taking care of your hair for 6 months without a relaxer, but remember to keep it moisturized and oiled.

Oh, yea you can buy Biotin at GNC it works best with a B vitamin. Also, GNC Ultranourisher Nail, Hair, Skin Vitamins.

more often than not it is made form Asian womens hair...the only problem with this is that it is coarse and hard to dye to match your own hair.

Poor women in third world countries sell their hair.

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

It comes from people who sell their hair to the company and then they make weave. But I don't wear weave. I have long pretty spanish hair. I don't even have a perm. I just have naturally pretty hair.

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

ppl sell thier own hair all the time. mostly in third world countries. most hair sold in stores is asian

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

no as people sell their hair in poorer countries sometimes to feed their familes, and ohers donate their 2 charitys for people who have cancer.

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

No the hair is from people who grow out there hair out long enough so they can get it cut to sell it :)

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

No, they usually buy it from Europe, which is a lot cheaper than hair that people sell here. You know how people will grow their hair and then chop it off and sell it? Well this is pretty much where it goes. European hair in weaves or extensions are not of high quality, I had European hair and it didn't last long and the red hair color came out. But no, it's not from dead people.

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

can we have yours when u die? just kidding, well if it says human it usually comes from someone alive, who sold their hair, usually asians. Then the rest of the time it says human hair but its really just plastic made and conditioned to feel and move like human hair. so watch ur weave cos saying its human yaki for big $$$ may leave u being the only thing human about it.

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

omg i think its from alive ppl duh common sense

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

Yes it actually do but they make sure they wash it very well before they sample on the market, and some people also donate their hair for money that's another possibility. Thanks

When you buy weave for your hair and it says "human hair" where does it come from, dead people, i dont no

it is from people that are alive... don't worry.... Most is Asian hair, some is Indian, some is European, and the BEST is Russian...

If you are looking for good hair... make sure it says REMY cuticle hair....NOT 100% human hair..... usually the more expensive the better the hair......

Russian Remy and Indian are the softest I have found Though European is a good quality IF it says REMY

Can you use Static Guard on hair weave that is considered 100% Human Hair?

I want to keep my hair from frizzing.

Can you use Static Guard on hair weave that is considered 100% Human Hair?

Yes, I don't see why not?

Other ppl have used with success: a spray made of 1 part white vinager %26amp; 1 part water.

%26amp; Others have simply wiped a bounce sheet over their head.

Can you use Static Guard on hair weave that is considered 100% Human Hair?

I don't have a weave but I do use static gaurd on my own head of hair so I imagine it would have the same out come.

Can you use Static Guard on hair weave that is considered 100% Human Hair?

It should work the same as on normal hair. Just trying it will give you your answer I guess.

Can you use Static Guard on hair weave that is considered 100% Human Hair?

They have a lot of anti frizzing products out there, I would not recommend anything that is not designed specifically for hair. I know a lot of professionals who use IC frizz buster by fantasia.

Can someone please help me with washing my hair weave.?

Hey yall. I'm having a hair weave problem. I've had my weave in for about one or two weeks. I really really need to wash it.Now I'm a black girl so every shampoo won't work for my hair. I was wondering on how I should wash my hair and what shampoo and conditioner I should use and also how I should dry it and keep it straight and from being frizzy. That's the main reason why I'm washing it. I have to have it washed in less than 3 hours so can somebody help me ASAP please!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please help me with washing my hair weave.?

Hey! The steps i've written below are only for human hair (or very fine synthetic fibres) so is your's human hair? Is your weave sowed on or glued on (like bonding)? If it is glued don't do the following steps. If it is sewed follow the steps below but you need to be careful to only use gentle downwards strokes throughout the process.

1) Wet your hair (obviously) and put some shampoo in your palms.

2) With a slow, gentle downward clapping motion (hair between the palms, with hands sliding gently from roots to tips) apply the shampoo to the weave from root to ends, layer by layer. Dont wash it the way you would normally wash hair otherwise it would get tangled, frizzy and the weave will probably come off.

3)Apply shampoo to the scalp as well but wash scalp only with gentle rubbing motions. Oy you will pull of the weave.

4) Rinse hair thorougly with gentle rubbing motions.

5) Don't bother about conditioner, it is unlikely to work.

6) Let the hair air dry completely, don't even think of using a dryer.

7) Oil scalp and weave, and style as normal with styling products.

Good luck!!

Can someone please help me with washing my hair weave.?

Don't try to do it because it is gonna get loose. Or are you talking about taking it out and then washing it. But, if you do wash it on your head. You have to get it tighten back up. And ask a hair salon what shampoo.

Can someone please help me with washing my hair weave.?

that girl who said fck u needs a life just becuz she doesnt have the decent sense that a normal person would have. But really maybe there should be a hair doctor and would know more then an average person would know on weave.[seeing as i dont have any] but contact a doctor or maybe even get one of your friends ideas and tips to keep your weave lookin good and fresh.

Can someone please help me with washing my hair weave.?

Do NOT wash it!!!!!!

If you wash it 1st of all it is going to get loose and when you'll be ready to take it out, your hair will be tangled and it will fall out.If you want to wash it take it out before you do so.

And for the moisturizer,shampoo,conditionner(use pantene)

Hey hair weaving professionals!!!!! i need tips advice?

I wanna be able to do my own full sew in weaves .. i cant afford to go to a salon so i dont need that kind of advice lol so far i already know how to cornrow and sew .. so if there are any other special tricks or techniques that you know on how to make a weave look more natural please share .. and also i would like to be able to wear my hair up too so i need tips on that as well .. .. serious replies only thanks!

Hey hair weaving professionals!!!!! i need tips advice?

Hey girl, my friend does her own sewn ins. She does a really good job and i can give you the links to our myspaces if you want so u can see how good she does, and how mine looks. I wear mine pulled back into a pretty bun a lot with a part. It looks natural. She used to braid it but found that twisting it instead of braiding makes it lay flatter. Also, once you get towards the top remember to sew it in so that the tracks dont show and you can part it and blend in your hair to make it look natural. So that the thread does not stand out, I say go for a strong black or brown thread. They'll hold well and not show through. Dont forget the relaxer, and lots of oil sheen. Good luck!

Hey hair weaving professionals!!!!! i need tips advice?

Ok! i do my own hairextensions i actually glue them in. I buy my the hair for about 28.00 it's the human hair not the yaky hair. Then i wash my hair as i normally would and blow dry and straighten it completely with my chi iron. Then i go to the nape of my hair line and measure the extension to the part then i add the hair extension; i then go up a little more drop my own hair on top of that and do another part across measure the extension glue my extension and blow dry it to stay then drop my real hair on top of that. That way you won't see the extension when i decide to wear it up. If you were to see my hair now you would never be able to tell that i wear them. I only put 4 in the back across my bangs and the other parts of my hair are layered but everything else on my head is my real hair. Only the back part is what i do extensions on. Not the front it looks to fake. I don't believe in quick weaves because those; you have slick your hair all the way back and start putting the extensions on top of the hair. Which after awhile the extension will lift up and your head will look tooo big. I make sure my extensions is glued straight to my scalp and the part. Good luck i hope this helps! Another thing you can also use half wigs; it's like a big clip on wig you just put your real hair over it but the back is all weave. I wish i knew how to weave or cornroll; idon't cornroll or braid my hair when i do extensions on myself because my real hair is too long.

i thought it was a net weave, but i heard that net weave is for when you are a bit bold. I never try this technique, and please tell me what kind of hair Tyra Banks has, i so love it and want to do the same.

What hair extension technique they use in American next Top Model, latest serie?? i saw a kind of net weave?

Yes, it was a net weave, its mainly for people who have thin hair or have hair loss, but some people use it because you get a flatter effect... Tyra %26amp; Beyonce and some other celebs, wear Lace Front Units...

They are wigs..

What hair extension technique they use in American next Top Model, latest serie?? i saw a kind of net weave?

I don't remember where, but once i heard that Tyra gets tracks glued in before each show.

but i don't know wherether thats true or not

What hair extension technique they use in American next Top Model, latest serie?? i saw a kind of net weave?

there was a net weave which i never seen before but i think tyra wears wigs. i heard her talk about it on her show.

i have extensions and i do the sew in ones. they make a few braids that wrap around my head, like corn rolls.?? anyways, they take human hair on a big strand and sew it really tight along the braid. its awesome. it hurts a bit but its worth it. mine stay in about 3 to 4 months if you get a check up.

i recommend this technique because its already expensive enough anything more fancy than that will be a fortune.

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

i'd like to get a weave but i dont know if it will be good for my hair, or if it will break it...what do you think?

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

Keep it braided. and once you get the newgrowth the length you are comfortable with, cut off the relaxed ends. Good luck.

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

My mom did that and it took a while but when I braided my hair it took only six months long to do

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

sew in weave will be best

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

if your hair is relaxed, then let it grow naturally!

^_^

hope i helped!

My hair is relaxed, but i want to grow it out, is it a good idea to get a weave?

If you want to grow your hair braiding and weaving are 2 options. If you weave you should sew it in because glue can potentially damage your hair. Weaves are a little more difficult to maintain than regular box braids or cornrows but if you keep your natural hair moisturized and you scalp lightly greased than your hair will grow. Good luck =)

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cor

Which cornrow pattern is best for a long layered sewn in weave to keep the tracks from showing after braiding ALL natural hair?

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cornrowed?

You want to do a circular pattern that goes around your head, and avoid starting any braids from the front of your head. Then you'll want to sew in the weave in a way that will allow you to have a bang.

You can also leave out some of your hair in the front, and cornrow the rest. Once you sew in the tracks, you can just blend the loose hair in with the weave. You may have to flat-iron it to make is smooth. That was you won't have to have a bang.

Good luck!

How do you keep sewn in weave tracks from showing in the front of the head with ALL natural hair cornrowed?

they would have to sew the hair in or do the cornrows so that the hair covers it(ie side swept bangs and such)

btw a curly weave would conceal it more than straight one

Anyone know of any good african american hair salons that do weave extentions and are reasonably pri

Looking more for weave ponytails ect, Not braids. // in kansas city kansas or missouri

Anyone know of any good african american hair salons that do weave extentions and are reasonably priced?

Well unfortuantely there are not too many good, professional salons for us in Kansas City. I've since moved from Kansas City, but I had a good experience with an african american stylist at Mario Tricoci on the Plaza. Its a bit pricy, but she was very good. The stylist's name was Amina, I'm not sure if she's still there. I'm not sure if they do extentions, though. If all you want is a ponytail, I suggest going to a quality beauty supply store that sells human hair, and asking a friend whose opinion you trust to help you pick something out. If all else fails, you can stop everyone you see (strangers included) whose hair you like and ask who styled it. Hope this helps!

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

Is it really Human Hair? Because there is soo much of it in the store!!!

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

There's a commercial on the Detroit station that says something about Indian hair, so my guess is a majority of the weave comes from India.

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

most of the time the hair is man made, and i dont mea REAL hair

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

Yes! It is made from human hair and of course treated for re-use..I am not sure if it is from donations/sales/dead people....let me know when you find out...

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

Yep, it can be either human or synthetic. Most of the time, ppl in asia grow out their hair and sell it. Its deff not from dead ppl.

Seriously, just don't get a weave. from a guys pov, it is so tacky.

Where does "Human Hair Weave" Come From?

I have olive skin tone color and i want bleach blonde hair or a weave wut do guys think?

no dont go blonde or a weave, go with light brown hair color, with hoeny highlights it will look so much nicer on u

I have olive skin tone color and i want bleach blonde hair or a weave wut do guys think?

Blonde hair can look really good on olive skin tones, actually, but you have to be really careful. You can't just bleach the heck out of your hair and expect it to look perfect. I did that once. Didn't work. I think for your skin a golden tone will be best. Make sure to take good care of your hair afterwards. Good luck

These things can get very expensive. You get what you pay for. If it's a really cheep product it will probably look awful.

I don't know where abouts you are from but these kinds of products can be easily found in African american targeted beauty supply stores. Boston and NYC have tons of them and I imagine other major cities to as well. You might benifit from seeing the quality diffrence in person so you can get a sense of where you draw the line of you can afford it and it doesnt look too bad.

Hair weave/extension help?

I have a couple questions about this.

First off, I hope this doesn't come off as racist, but are hair weaves just for black people? I want 22" extensions and hair weaves seem to come in wefts, so I was thinking about getting them and glueing it in. Is that a good idea?

These are the ones I was looking at:

http://www.hairtrade.com/product_info.ph...

Also, how many weaves do you think I would need for a full set?

Do you see any better extensions on that site? I don't want clip-in because it would be too big of a hassle to put in all the time.

Lastly, what extensions are the best? I have shouldlength hair that I'm pretty bored with. :P

Thanks so much for your time %26amp; help. :D

Hair weave/extension help?

I will try to give you as much help as I can, when I wore them, I was the weave queen (lol). First thing, yes, anyone can get a weave, black or not.

I do not know if you are doing them yourself, but no, I would not suggest you glue your tracks in. Because, even going to a specialist, glueing in extensions can cause lots of damage to your real hair. But if you just want something temporary, or you just don't have the time/money/desire for any other method, I would suggest you going ahead with the glue-in route. It's somewhat tedious though, having someone help you would be a good idea. But so you know, with glue-in extensions, it's not possible to have a "full head"; meaning, some of your real hair will be exposed which is known as a "partial weave."

Examples of partial weaves: http://www.reniece.com/EZ-PhotoAlbum/Par... ***good site, you can peek around if you want***

Examples of "full head" weaves: http://www.reniece.com/EZ-PhotoAlbum/Ful...

As for how many weaves for a full set...do you mean how much hair for a full head ? You will have to determine that yourself, depending how thick you want your hair to look. But 9 times out of 10, 2 packs of hair should be enough, depending on the brand and type of hair you purchase.

I have also looked at your link, and I'm sorry, I am not familiar with the hair on that site. I think it may be because I am not in the U.K. Is that where you are? Excuse my ignorance if not. I would suggest maybe going to a salon or calling a salon, and asking about the best type of hair available to your area. Myself, I prefer human hair, and as for the brand, I used to switch around.

If you would not mind buying your hair online, you can go to this site. They offer a lot of different styles, textures, and lengths, all in different brands. You can also search by these options too. Just put in the length, or texture, or etc. Or just browse around. Another thing (lol-sorry), the pro to buying online is that there are many options for you to choose from, but if you want extra, like many different colors, or like you, extra long length, the price goes way up. Anyway, the site: http://www.hairsisters.com/ver2/Shopping...

Hair weave/extension help?

No hair weaves are not just for black people. Matter of fact me and a classmate was talking about her extensions today. Some come in wefts and some can just come in rows. I think you should go in fo a consultation with a stylist that specializes in hair weaving. You might not want a full st maybe just some layering in the back so it looks pretty natural. I really hope this helps a little.

Hair weave/extension help?

Weaves are for everyone, of any race. But I wouldn't recommend them for anyone.

Does anybody (preferably a girl whos had one before) know what the best technique is for getting a h

And I'm not just talking about Which kind of weave to use (like Yaki vs. Remi or anything), I mean HoW exactly to put it on. Like should you tell your stylist to glue it on in the front and sew it in, in the back? Or the other way round? Do cornrows help provide more flexibility or do they just leave visible head bumps that give away your secret of fake hair?

I've really been contemplating recently to get my hair weaved just to try something different cause I've never done it before, but I'm really afraid of spending all that money on doing it and having it done wrong. I want it to look as real as possible but I don't know the best method of doing so. Please share your previous hair experiences with me to help me make the right decision?

Thank you so much.

~Beverly~

Does anybody (preferably a girl whos had one before) know what the best technique is for getting a hair weave?

I always do my own. Normally I sew it in because glue can severely damage your hair. The way it's braided and sewn can affect the way it hangs and what styles you can get. I like to braid my hair around in a continuous circle in the back of my head, starting from behind the ear and ending in the middle of the circle. If it's not braided to high and sewn in tight enough, there should be no visable bump You can also add braids that go front to back above your ears to add length to the sides. If you're getting it professionally done, the beautician should be able to make the right choice that would be better for your hairs length, type, texture, etc. If you're uncomfortable and uncertain, ask to see some pics of their work and ask around to see who's the best person for the job. Don't be afraid to ask. It's your hair and money and ultimately you are the one that needs to be happy. I hope I helped at least a little. Good Luck!

Does anybody (preferably a girl whos had one before) know what the best technique is for getting a hair weave?

Hope you have some coarse hair because I got it done and my hair is fine and it totally ruined my hair and I had to cut it off shorter than when I started!! UGH! Be careful what you wish for.

Does any one know a website that shows you how to do a hair weave?

I wan't to learn how to do my own hair weave so if you know how could you tell me or if you know any websites can you put them down or leave links.

Thanks!

Does any one know a website that shows you how to do a hair weave?

Maybe try youtube, I guess you would type in hair intructional video, If you want to cornroll hair in there you must have to know how to cornroll. And let me tell you if you are putting tracks in your hair just cornrow your hair (with fake hair) in a circle swirl like in this link there is a picture, if you see the part where the boy has a swirl conrow you whole head like that swirl one big swirl not a whole bunch of little ones and then have someone sew the rest in for you. here is the link http://www.calebcrump.com/braids/cal-bra...

Does any one know a website that shows you how to do a hair weave?

go to ask.com and then type in how to do hair weaves and they should send you some links

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

i have a straight human hair weave in but every time i curl it with the curling iron the curls dont stay in what can i do to get them to stay in for hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

Use spritz or some type of holding spray before you curl the hair. Also applying mousse will help give the hair a natural curl.

And for the other poster...what makes you think the individual is black? Not all black people wear weaves.

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

"pin curl" it! Twist strands of hair and then bobby pin them up...use a spray bottle just to dampen them just barely then sleep on them over night...when you take them down and style it in the morning use extra hold spray...Or you CAN have it permed since it is easier to straighten a weave then to curl it...good luck!

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

use a spray starch when you curl it, then hair spray it with a high hold when you are done

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

why are you using extensions they are expensive and very unnatural people can generally tell when you use them and then when you meet someone they don't know the real you and its a very hard up keeping and curling them ruins them very quickly, you should call the salon that put them in for you and ask them they should have told you when you purchased them, but they should be able to answer your question. you can try a glue gel and curl them while its still wet in your hair but next time get already curled extensions placed in or just stop with the extension things anyways. i believe that's why Brittney spears really shaved her head her hair was so damaged from all those extensions and dye she was always placing in her hair. men like more natural women in the long run I'm not saying don't fix your hair and do your nails place a little makeup on but really its all about who you are the next morning when you wake up i have found men really wan to see

How can i get the curls to stay in my human hair weave?

spray spritz and rub a little curl wax on each strand before u curl it for soft bouncy long lasting curls:)

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

my sister just got hair weave and she doesnt even need it.

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

Weaves are fun. I had one for my senior prom. it is nice to add length or different colors for fun, if you are black or white!

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

It isn't! White girls hair extentions look good, but not weaves!

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

Um....who said it was/wasn't? I never heard that!

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

wtf?

Hey, why is it okay for white women to wear hair weave and not black women?

The only women I know that get weaves are chocolate women. And they look awesome. Extensions? The same. They really only work with chocolate women's hair or white women with kinky hair. Most white women's hair is too fine for the most part. It just slips out. It's hard to work with.

How do you hide the tracks in the front of your hair weave?(using the stocking technique)?

ok im tryna put hair weave in my hair by using the stocking cap technique and u can see tha tracks in tha front... how do i hide them?!?!

How do you hide the tracks in the front of your hair weave?(using the stocking technique)?

I'd go the the beauty supply store and ask for a closure piece. There are different kinds and some can be sewed or glued in. This will hide your tracks.
