yes. you should get a trim about every 6 weeks. because it keeps your hair healthy. hair does grow from the scalp...yea. your hair is dead and after a while it gets unhealthy so you have to trim it so it can stay healthy. thats why you get trims..

yes trim your hair and also get a hot oil treatment first ,also make sure you grease your scalp down each row of braids before you put the weave in

trims should be a regular 4 thru 8 weeks to keep hair in max shape... id get a trim before the weave...

I'm not sure if you should get the sew in. Maybe deep condition your hair a few times before hand. This way it'll have a little more strength before the sewn in goes in. As far as trims go, true hair does grow from the scalp but trims help prevent split ends. If your split ends aren't cut off what happens is that the split keeps going up the hair shaft. That's something you dont want to happen to you hair. Plus hair that's full of split ends looks awful.
If you absolutely have to get the weave soon then what I would do if I were you is really take care of my real hair underneath while you have the weave in. That way when it's time to take the weave out your hair wont be in shambles.
