Foremost, there are a variety hair extension methods i.e., fusion, sewn-ins, banna wrap, glue, hair clips etc...

Also there are different ways, to "weave in hair extensions". First the hair must be braided into cornrows. The cornrows can be braided vertically or horizontally. Some chose to have the hair sewn-in onto their braids, using a hair weaving needle,and hair thread to sew the extension across the braids. Others use a weave cap, somewhat similar to a wig, using the same method as the first, but instead of onto the braids,the hair is weaved onto the cap, so the person can take off the cap whenever s/he chooses.

Many talanted people do the first method by themselves, but one must be able to braid well. The second method requires another person, but if one has a head stand then you could weave in the hair extension onto the net cap and see if it looks well.
