Stiff hair weaves....why?

Do black women hang onto their weaves until the new (natural) growth is practically pushing it off of their heads. It really ain't cool (and this is coming from a fellow black woman!!!) Hasn't anyone informed you that grainy nats and silky tresses don't match and looks downright disgraceful??????

And before you start I wear my hair in a kick-*** afro - the shame of being seen in a weave would kill me!!!!

I've seen that alot even with women who aren't black, and also with people who dye their hair dark or light and their roots grow in. It drives me nuts!

Ah feel you on that... Wy cant a women just be natural be who you really are. The weave thing aint even cute for some people and it makes no sense at all how girls choose to wear it till its crusty, dry, and nappy. What sense does that make when you could just let yo scalp breath and grow some hair..

well, its because they are too cheap to buy the nice expensive hair (35 a pk and up) therefore making their weave look bad. some of them probably did the weave theirself so thats why it looks the way it do,but still dosent explain why they dont take it out when its needs to be (due to all the money the saved from going to a professional). there is nothing wrong with wearing a weave.......as long as its the right hair and put in the right way! going natural is ur preferance just as wearing a weave is theirs.
